The DEC tweeted on March 3: “Many thanks to Her Majesty The Queen for continuing to support the Disasters Emergency Committee and for making a generous donation to the DEC Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal.”

Russia’s ongoing invasion of Ukraine has been widely condemned by world leaders, as well as several members of the Royal Family.

Prince Charles, Prince William, Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex have spoken out in support of Ukraine.

Kate and William wrote a heartfelt message on their official Twitter account, which read: “In October 2020 we had the privilege to meet President Zelenskyy and the First Lady to learn of their hope and optimism for Ukraine’s future.

“Today we stand with the President and all of Ukraine’s people as they bravely fight for that future W & C.”
